💛 SEN Support
To support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), our school has established an Inclusive Education Team that implements a variety of measures. For academic and assessment purposes, we provide students in need with adapted learning materials and assessment accommodations, and a special examination room is arranged to ensure fair and valid evaluations. Additionally, we offer targeted support programs, including social skills training for students with social difficulties and a school-based speech therapy service that provides regular individual training for those with speech and language impairments. To ensure our faculty is well-equipped to assist these students, professional speakers are regularly invited to conduct staff development programs.

In order to provide our students with a wide variety of educational opportunities, a variety of disciplines engage in field studies that make use of the resources that are available in the surrounding area. Students in the junior form, investigate issues such as the preservation of cultural and historical heritage, environmental challenges, and the many uses of urban area, etc. Students at higher levels of education study topics such as geological parks and sustainable cities. | school_ethos | Towards the end of the Qing Dynasty, a young North American female missionary travelled a far distance to Guangzhou with the religious mission to spread Christianity to China. In order to provide Chinese women with education opportunities, she founded the first True Light School in 1872. It was one of the first colleges for women in South China, and Guangzhou. This female missionary is our school founder, Miss Harriet Noyes (1844-1924). Her religious zeal laid the foundations for the school's future development in education. In pursuit of the ideal cherished by our school founder, our school provides a quality Christian education, aiming at inculcating our students with the values embodied in the Bible and preparing them as a generation knowing how to love themselves and others, to distinguish between right and wrong, and to live in integrity and with a good sense of responsibility.
