Promote integrated education and support students with special educational needs (SENs) Our school is committed to developing an inclusive culture through adopting a whole school approach to support students with SENs. Resources are deployed to provide appropriate and diversified support to these students so as to enhance their learning and assist them to integrate into school life. To facilitate our school’s support to students with SENs, the Learning Support Grant is provided by the Education Bureau. life_planning_education Our school has been developing holistic life planning education that equips and empowers students with suitable career and life planning attitudes and competence to help them achieve self-actualization. Our life planning education is promoted by the Careers Department. Difference focuses are set for every form. For instance, in S.1 and S.2, the focuses are “knowing oneself” and “setting learning goals”. In S.3, the focuses are aptitude analysis and subject selection. The focuses in senor form are curriculum selection in universities, career planning, etc. A series of education activities have been organized for each focus, for instance, S.3 steaming guidance, subject introduction assemblies, trial lessons of senior secondary subjects and S.3 Parents’ Day, etc. In senior forms, CLP vision games, Careers Day, visits to universities, briefing on JUPAS, individual or group counselling, etc. are organized, enabling students to make informed decisions on further studies or employment in different life stages, and plan their life properly.
whole_school_approach_cater_for_learner_diversity Through employing different hardware facilities (e.g. lift), and software programme (e.g. counselling programmes, enhancement and remedial classes), our school is prepared to cater for different learners. In addition, we offer gifted programs such as English public speaking, English debating, Chinese debating, Olympic Maths, Chinese Writing and STEAM Club, to our gifted students. adaptation_for_learning_and_assessment There are uniform tests and examinations in each of the two school terms. Emphasis is also put on the daily work assessment. (i) Promotion criteria for S.1-S.3: Absence from school for not more than 10 days during the school year; Pass in conduct; Pass in all subjects or overall average not less than 50% and Pass in at least 5 subjects; and Pass in three of the following subjects: cultural subjects and Biblical Knowledge. (ii) Promotion Criteria for S.4-S.5: Absence from school for not more than 10 days during the school year; Pass in conduct; Pass in all subjects or Pass in five HKDSE subjects, including English Language, Chinese Language, Mathematics, Citizenship and Social Development, securing not less than 40% in the failed subjects; and Pass in two of the following subjects: cultural subjects and Biblical Knowledge.
