In accordance with the motto of CUHK, the school emphasizes both the intellectual and moral development of students. We aim to help students to become all-rounders who are also responsible, independent and willing to serve the community.
📚 Approach & Strategies
The curriculum design is student-centered to cater for individual learning differences. For junior students, the focuses are on biliteracy and trilingualism, STEAM and Life and Society. There are additional after-school remedial classes and advanced classes in Chinese, English, and Mathematics. For senior students, an interactive teaching model is adopted to enhance teacher-student communication and improve students' expressive skills. Extra classes, lectures and tests are provided to help students prepare for public examinations. Each subject has clear subject policies and programme plans. To meet the needs of the high school system and curriculum development, subject coordinators hold joint meetings to establish long-term curriculum policies.
💛 SEN Support
The school has established a Student Support Coordination Committee, EDB's Student Support Team, coordinated by the Vice Principal. Committee members include heads of academic affairs, student development (SENCO), counseling and guidance, social workers, counselors, and educational psychologists. They provide students with the most appropriate assistance across departments. Additionally, the committee arranges special test arrangements for in-school assessments and public examinations. Additional support teachers are hired and outsourced services are purchased by utilizing Learning Support Subsidies. The school offers a variety of training programs for students in need, including speech therapy, reading and writing training, emotional support, social skills, and career planning training.…
🎨 Whole-person Learning
More than 50 clubs and societies, including academic societies, social service teams, interest groups, performance groups and sports teams have been established for students in the school. For example, there is the Marching Band, Campus TV, English Drama Club, Pop Band and Red Cross etc. Our school has a development framework for students so that they can cultivate their lifelong learning abilities in order to face an ever-changing society.

| oa_orientation_activities_n_healthy_life | During July and August, we organized English and Mathematics summer bridging courses for first-year students. To cater for the diverse development of these students, the school introduced STEAM classes. Additionally, orientation days, adventure training sessions, and adaptation courses were arranged for both parents and students to help them adjust to the new environment. In order to promote students' holistic development, the school has implemented a "Healthy Campus Policy" and conducted a "Health Week" programme. Special teams were established to oversee the operations of the school canteen and lunch services, as well as to manage student health services and physical fitness programs.
