📚 Approach & Strategies
Our school employs “Student-Centred Pedagogy” and places stress on our students’ participation during the lesson. Through various co-curricular activities like outdoor writing, field trips and study tours, the goals of “Life-wide Learning” are accomplished and students’ horizons are broadened. The school has also developed a project learning framework in junior forms. Cross-curricular projects are conducted by different subjects in order to enhance various generic skills. In recent years, subject panels are required to conduct a holistic review on the implementation of their subjects and formulate strategic measures in their teaching programs so as to strive for higher teaching and learning efficacy.
💛 SEN Support
There are few students with special needs in the school. A Student Support Team has been set up for students in need of assistance. Social skill groups, speech therapy service and Individual Education Plan (IEP) are organized to cater for students’ special needs.
🎨 Whole-person Learning
TYTC aims to provide all our students with essential life-long learning experiences for whole-person development so that they can become future leaders. Therefore, not only does our school place a lot of emphasis on developing students’ intellect through helping them achieve their academic potentials, we also encourage students to make constructive use of their leisure time to develop their leadership skills as well as spirit of serving community.
